Seeing Your Story's Shape

Two ways to look at the whole screenplay at once — so you can move scenes, spot gaps, and feel the rhythm without scrolling through pages.

When you're deep in the script, it's easy to lose the forest for the trees. Nabu gives you two big-picture views of the same story, and you can switch between them anytime. The board is your wall of index cards. The Temporal page is your map of the story over time. Neither one changes your script behind your back — they're just different lenses on the scenes you already have.

  • The Board — your scenes as index cards on an infinite, pannable canvas. Drag to reorder, group cards into sequences, sort them into story zones, add a card, or hand one to Nisaba to write. This is the place to rearrange the shape of the story by feel.
  • The Temporal page — your story over time. It holds the outline (a clean linear list of every scene, grouped by act and zone) plus charts that show emotional intensity, tension, and pacing across the whole script, and Threads — the promises your story makes and where they land.

Tip: Both views read from the same scenes. A change you make on the board shows up in the outline, and vice versa — there's no separate copy to keep in sync.

Note: There's no longer a separate Outline or Timeline page. The outline now lives inside the Temporal page, and the old links send you there automatically.
