What Nisaba remembers

See and shape the things Nisaba has learned about you as a director.

As you write and talk with Nisaba (your AI writing partner), she picks up on how you like to work — the kinds of stories you're drawn to, the choices you tend to make, the way you want her to help. The Memory page is where you can read those notes back, confirm the ones that ring true, fix the ones that don't, and remove anything you'd rather she forget. Find it under SettingsWorkspaceMemory.

Note: What Nisaba remembers here is about you as a director, not about any single screenplay. These notes follow you across every project you write in Nabu.

See and manage what Nisaba remembers

  1. Open Settings from the top-right of your dashboard.
  2. In the Workspace group, choose Memory.
  3. You'll see a list of remembered notes. The subtitle tells you how many are confirmed (ones you've approved) and how many are observed (ones Nisaba noticed but hasn't been confirmed yet).
  4. For any note, use Confirm, Edit, or Delete to keep, change, or remove it.

That's all there is to it — the more you tidy these notes, the better Nisaba understands the kind of collaborator you want her to be.

What each control does

  • Confirm — A note Nisaba observed but you haven't approved yet shows a Confirm button. Confirming it tells Nisaba "yes, this is true about me," and promotes it to a confirmed memory she can lean on. Notes you've already confirmed don't show this button.
  • Edit — Change the wording of a note in place. Click Edit, type your correction, and press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. Use this when Nisaba got the gist but not the detail.
  • Delete — Remove a note entirely. Use this for anything that's wrong, out of date, or just something you'd rather she didn't carry forward.
  • Director Identity — A short summary panel that gathers your confirmed notes into a single picture of you as a director. It's the at-a-glance version of everything below it.
  • Regenerate Summary (top-right) — Rebuilds that Director Identity summary from your confirmed notes, so the summary reflects your latest confirmations and edits. While it's working, the button reads Regenerating.... It's available once you have at least one confirmed note.

Good to know

  • Confirmed beats observed. Observed notes are Nisaba's best guess from watching how you work; confirmed notes are ones you've vouched for. The more you confirm (and edit), the more confidently she can rely on them.
  • Looking for the background AI switch? It moved to SettingsWorkspaceModels — see your profile and account for what it does.
  • This memory is yours across projects. Because these notes describe you, not a script, they carry over to every screenplay you open in Nabu — start a brand-new project and Nisaba already knows how you like to collaborate.
