The rest of this manual walks you through doing things — writing a scene, running coverage, exporting a PDF. This section is the place you come back to for the short, look-it-up answers: the meaning of a word you keep seeing, a quick fix for something that feels stuck, and exactly what happens to the words you write.

Nothing here is a how-to you have to read front to back. Skim it, search it, or jump straight to the one answer you need.

Good to know

  • Your words are yours. Nabu never trains AI on your scenes, treatments, synopses, notes, or your conversations with Nisaba (your AI writing partner). The full promise — and the controls behind it — lives on Your profile and account.
  • Credits are shown in credits, never dollars. Inside the app, AI work is always priced in credits, and your balance sits in the footer at the bottom of every page as N cr. Costs are approximate — the final charge can differ from the estimate because it settles to the actual work done. See How credits work.
  • A few things may not be visible yet. During the alpha, some surfaces — the Billing, Referrals, API Keys, and Webhooks pages in Settings, and a couple of in-app cost badges — are dimmed or turned off for your account. That's expected; they switch on as Nabu moves past the alpha. The FAQ explains which ones.
