Account & Settings¶
Everything about you and how Nabu behaves for you — your profile, your sign-in security, what Nisaba remembers, and which notifications reach you.
Your screenplays live inside projects, but a few things sit one level up: who you are, how you sign in, and the preferences that follow you from project to project. You'll find all of it under Settings, reachable from the Settings button in the top-right of your dashboard.
Note: Settings is a global area — it isn't tied to any one project, so you won't see Nisaba or a project status bar while you're in here.
How Settings is organized¶
The Settings sidebar (a slim icon rail on desktop that expands when you hover, or a menu drawer on phones) groups everything into four sections:
- Account — your profile, your sign-in sessions, and your notifications.
- Workspace — model preferences and what Nisaba remembers about you.
- Plan — billing, referrals, and invites.
- Developer — API keys and webhooks.
Note: During the alpha, some items (Billing, Referrals, API Keys, Webhooks) appear dimmed and not yet clickable. Invites is the live way to share Nabu during the alpha.
Pages in this section¶
- Settings overview — a tour of the whole Settings area: how the sidebar works, what lives where, and the workspace preferences (including choosing which model drives your writing and chat).
- Your profile and account — your name, handle, bio, contact and social links; exporting all your data; the privacy signal opt-out; installing Nabu as an app; linking Google or Apple; and the account-deletion Danger Zone.
- Notifications — choose which updates reach you, and where (a quick Toast or a quieter Activity entry).
- Sessions and security — see every browser and device signed in to your account, and sign any of them out.
- API keys and webhooks — for connecting Nabu to outside tools or the Nabu command-line app.
- What Nisaba remembers — view, confirm, edit, or delete the things Nisaba has learned about you as a director, and turn background AI work on or off.
Tip: Looking for credits, plans, or payment? That lives in the Billing section.
Good to know¶
- Most edits save themselves. On your profile and a few other pages, what you type is saved automatically — a sidebar click or closing the tab won't lose an unsaved bio. A Save button is there too if you'd rather flush a change on purpose.
- A few items may not be visible yet. During the alpha, Billing, Referrals, API Keys, and Webhooks can show as "Coming soon." That's expected — they'll switch on as Nabu moves past the alpha.
