Story elements¶
The pieces of your screenplay that live alongside the script itself — who's in it, where it's set, what it's about, and what it's inspired by.
Your script pages are only part of a project. Nabu keeps a set of supporting documents that describe your story from different angles: the people, the places, the one-sentence pitch, the longer summaries, the cover page, and the reference films you're drawing on. Nisaba — your AI writing partner — reads these first, so keeping them filled in makes everything she does sharper and more on-target.
You don't have to write any of them by hand. Most can be drafted or filled in with a click, then refined when you're ready. This section walks through each one.

- Characters and locations — Your character bible and location directory. Add characters and let Nisaba fill in their want, need, flaw, and arc; browse the locations that build themselves from your scene headings.
- Logline, synopsis, and treatment — Your story's one-sentence North Star, its short summary, and the fuller prose treatment that bridges your vision and your script. Edit them directly or have Nisaba draft and refine them.
- Title page — The industry-standard cover page for your screenplay: title, author, contact details, an optional cover image, and an optional cast page.
- Influences and references — Link analyzed reference screenplays to your project and dial in how strongly they steer Nisaba's craft as she writes.

Tip: You don't have to fill these in before you start writing. Open a project, start a scene, and come back to these whenever you want richer help from Nisaba.
